Whilst the module can be played without the campaign files, you WILL experience multiple major systems NOT WORKING AS INTENDED. As already stated, this is the initial release, so we are allowing about a month or so to collate feedback and any issues players have experienced. We anticipate only minor problems and would appreciate any assistance in identifying them.

Hi there
If the files are all downloaded and placed in the correct folders, you will be fine.
Check the following:
1. The following are placed in your hak folder: (this is the hak folder located at \Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2)
UTTRules_v2a.hak
rws_all_in_one.hak
leg_ai.hak
leg_master.hak
2. The tlk file is placed in your tlk folder, located at the same directory highlighted in bold above.
3. That your override folder (also at same directory), is empty.
Simple as that :) The Quickguide also contains a guide on how to get setup to play.

I hit the bug wherein you don't leave the Fairfields Town Hall after talking to Captain Strobridge. Per the replies on the Nexus, if you just keep talking to Strobridge and selecting option 1 in the convo, it will eventually fire the cut-scene and move you to Esgaroth. Mine fired on the fourth try.

Those files are included with the U2 download - check the download contents once you are done :)

I've killed last form of Draugaur but I got no experience and journal was not updated. Bug or he is somewhere else?
Same problem. Killed all incarnations, took his stuff, rested in his deepest lair, quest failed to close/complete.

Ive run into a wall with this mod, but, ive figured it out.

that zip file "indanthrine_prince_u2" only contains the mod which led me to download other zips and mix things.
I reached a point near the end of the game where there are no floors or exit door and re-installed everything I needed
using a different site that has nwn mods ( I dont know if I'm permitted to say where).
Now the game shows floors and exit door in the area where i had problem.
So please, no insult to anyone here, I love NWN (1&2) and I cant thank you enough for you work in creating this site.

Just finished up. Only other bug was the werewolf in Mirkwood didn't appear but I don' think that was a big deal in version 1 so kept on going.
Started with a Hobbit bard and the spellbook would show the wrong spells after leveling up..., restarted with a human bard and it seems to work now.
Attachments are incorrect. The latest version contains only a module file. I've downloaded "additional copy of hak and tlk" but it doesn't seems to work at all, as i'm having missing hak files error.
From the log:
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "leg_master.hak"
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "leg_ai.hak"
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "rws_all_in_one.hak"
Could not load the Module.
What a mess :P
Hello and apologies. Some spring cleaning was definitely in order!
Files section has been tidied and fresh links added where needed.
The list of required projects has been updated with fresh links as the old ones had broken.
Tested and running nicely :)
Still grapling with the new rules set and limited classes but very enjoyable all the same. I was especially pleased with all of the detail and extra bits that have been added to every location. The custom cutscene's really stand out and the companions are all very beliveable with their own little personality quirks.
I would have given this a 7/10 rating but as I'm follicly challenged myself, the humour, like my hairline, was a bit thin.
I'm a late bloomer in this community but this mod really kept me wanting to play for just a little longer each session. Congratulations to all involved.
Thanks for playing and your feedback, especially with the video walkthroughs. Fair point about the jokes! I think I may have over laboured it in places. I've paid the price, it would seem, as my hairline is receeding steadily!
This is really terrific....thanks much!!! I have a problem though; when I try to enter mirkwood path or logging camp I end up in "abandoned northman fort interior" for which there is no excape.....what to do?? Thanks
Wonderful mod. It's so good that feels like NWN2 was designed with it in mind (even the eye of the charging screen fits... hehehe). Great custom content, ambience, cinematic sequences, MERP-lore, characters and lvl-progression. If you point me with a gun, I could say that I hoped for a more tolkienish-medievalesque language in the dialogues, but it's OK. Also, I want to note that merchants have little gold and I was about 90% of the module at top weight capacity with all the characters... I couldn't sell to anybody! But that's a really minor problem.
Played with a halfling ranger. Took about 25 hours to complete (I'm a slow player). I could be praising this mod all day, but I've to play the Umbral Abyss demo NOW, sorry!
Some insignificant glitches for the designers' info ( Alert: SPOILERS abound). Apart from these, all worked perfectly:
-Before entering the Town Hall in Fairfield, some of the easterlings didn't turn hostile until I talked to them. Also, the corpses of the villagers duplicated (and their possessions)
-When you reach the Master "throneroom", if you talk to Strobidge the screen with the option of leaving Fairfields triggers again.
-Draghaur quest didn't appear as complete in the journal when I killed all the incarnations. I never found the werewolf... Did I miss something?
-In the screen that you are looking for Matok and Jamot has left the group, the portrait of the last one appeared as he was under my control and I could use his inventory.
-Jamot makes references to Ubtao when he succeds in opening locks (my override folder's fault?).
I encounter a strange problem. Everything seems to work fine, but when I try to save a game, it doesn't work: not enough space on hard drive.
But my hard drive has 1 Go free, so what's the problem?

Hi I have a problem and a quick google shows others have had it too with this module. My journal entries eventually dissapear. Completing quests becomes impossible of course. I have not seen any fixes....any ideas? Thanks
Last I saw Kev Balmer was on the main forum. Ask in the NWN2 area and he might see it. He's also on Facebook under MERP UK I believe.

Thanks. I noticed a weird thing....I wonder if the first game and sequel conflict. I started the sequel since the original wasn't working and the journal in it was wonky as well. Also the game doesn't proceed from the opening sequence. I went back to the first game to look around and behold the journal had many entries ffrom the second game.....perhaps having them both installed is not an option.....
That's entirely possible as both use custom files for some game functions. So you if you still have a save from Indanthrine Prince, you might try deleting all of the special files for both games and then reinstall only the Indanthrine prince. Try to pick up from where you left off.

Hi, just a couple of notes from tests so far.
Seeking Entertainment Esloden quest - If you don't talk to Rutherford and let him know you have hired Esloden the qust fails to complete and mention is made in the party dialog. When you transition to the Masters Hall the quest remains in the journal as uncomplete and can't be repeated .
Unrest - Tomb of the fallen quest completes before all pouches are placed. The sunken room does not require a pouch.
Daleton does not remember speaking to you when you speak to him a second time before the quest completes, and goes through the entire quest txt again. I know there's no need to speak to him at any time after the first but, you know, testing etc, etc.
The Hunter is Hunted quest shows up in completed quests rather than Quests.

i just started playing this mod, and it looks good so far. Why can I not rest at all ? I go to an area that says possible rest area, and when i click rest, it says resting is not possible here. Am I missing something, or is it a bug ?
Yes, it happens in every rest zone. I used the same basic level1 no-gear character I use for most other mods, and my game has no customization - override folder is empty, if that helps. thank you for looking into this for me !
I'll be in a position to help more in a couple hours or so. Thanks for confirming no overrides. Could I also ask; did you download and install ALL the above files? I ask this because im seeing uneven numbers of downloads across all the files. The rest system is handled using files in the campaign folder.
EDIT: Whether it be of help in the above case or not, I have updated the entry to make it clearer that BOTH module and campaign files are required to enjoy the game as intended. A few people must of had some issues, as more players have downloaded the module than the campaign!
Update; Just fired up a game with everything installed as it should be. No problem, was able to rest in the first area (bedroom).So im thinking it is an installation issue, but maybe something glitched.
Yes I installed all the files above. I will do some testing, start a new game with same PC, and also with a diff PC, and update shortly. thanks.
update: Started a new game with same PC, a premade PC from list, and also created a new PC. all cannot rest in bedroom. so we can rule out a character problem. oh well, can't win em all. thanks again for looking into it.
That might be best. If it wasn't working from the get-go, shouldnt hurt to try a new game. I've now had multiple players say its working fine, so fingers crossed something was just setup wrong or it was a rare glitch. Let me know how it goes :)
Absolutely fantastic adventure!! Really well made overall, tons of locations and lore, custom items and scripts, solid story, it had it all!! I do not recall encountering any bugs or glitches, everything worked rather well. I played quite a few hours of the NWN version first, however I noticed there was a second chapter for NWN 2, and decided to stop and to give this version a chance. I was not disappointed, great work!! :D (To be perfectly honest with you, I enjoyed the NWN version way more, but I'm heavily biased against NWN 2 in general, so it wouldn't be fair to come into this with that mindset, or compare . .)
Thank you for the comment, really pleased you enjoyed it. The NWN version has a certain charm about it. I wanted something more party-centric so NWN2 seemed to be a good transition. Admittedly it comes at some costs but overall I think it was the right thing to do.
Keep an eye out for the sequel to IP, Umbral Abyss, which is currently in the later stages of a massive update.
