Best mod ever written - rating reflects entire series
Finally finished the entire saga after weeks of playing. One of the best mod I ever played!
so this might be a stupid question but how do i get the king of tusone's seal, i've reached the part where i meet the mecenary leaders in trinity, but i don't have it in my inventory.
I'm pretty sure Robert Black gifts it to you before riding off into the sunset again.
Hope that helps!
Ooops...you were supposed to get it from Robert Black after defeating the defense at Bracksworth.
How come none of the sequencer robes work? I cast protection spells on them and nothing happens. I remember Isaac's sequencer robe from Hoardes of the Underdark would say "spell stored" and then would cast the spells instantaneously when used as it is supposed to. I've tried 3 different robes in this mod and none of them work.
Can't finish this chapter. The cut scene which plays after leaving the castle victorious locks up. Guess I'll have to export my character and pick up with the final part III.
An epic series! Truly recommended to every NWN player!
(rating is for the entire Aielund series)
This is an outstanding epic series that will leave you wanting more when complete. The module author clearly put tons of hard work and effort into building one of the 3 best series on the vault. This series is one of the reasons Neverwinter Nights still exists 15 years later.
The story, the battles, the music, the visuals all are top notch. I solo'd a Human Wizard from 1st to 34th level. I highly recommend this module to everyone.
Voting 10!

I have already written my overall thoughts about this outstanding series. Unlike most of the other modules in this series, which you could conceiveably play as stand-alone modules, Act IV, Pt. 2 starts in mid-story where Pt. 1 left off.
Having played the previous modules in the series, there is a lot about this module that is familiar. That is both a good thing and a bad thing. What I do like is revisiting areas and NPCs I've seen before and seeing how they have changed over time. That is a great immersive touch. However, this module also uses many of the same plot devices as Act III, and that feels repetitive.
Overall, it is a good module in a great series.
The Aielund Saga is one of my favourite RPG of all time! The module excels in every aspect, especially in terms of the story telling and companion character development. You can find my review here. Highly recommended to every RPG fans :)
The Best Module series ever written but why did you take Criosa from me, not so much a bye or leave, no revenge. Should have at least let me bitch slap her.
I am playing the saga again after something like 2 years, and I am (SPOILERS) looking for the wolfsbane for the "Wolf in Sheep's Skin" mission. Found 4 out of 5 pieces, and I can't locate the last one! Can anyone help? I am running up and down the hills like a headless chicken!
Use the Tab key A LOT, there is one near the wood exit, one near a cliff close to an exit to the barbarians, and one on the ridge on the West side
very nice Epic, Barbarians and clerics do the best for me, and rangers, and paladins...:)
What an epic journey. This astoundishing campaign is way better than many offiicial games created by professional companies/writers and it's good to such an extent that it totally annihilates the OC.
When I try to start this mod the game crashes while unpacking it, I played all the acts up to this one and only this one is causing this, anyone know some fix? I have all the requirements installed
Did you install the critical 1.69 rebuild?
Hello,
I curently have a problem ...
I have just finished the part where you're supposed to take Bracksworth : I've talked to Dante, he and his rangers have gone without a fight, I've talked to Robert to get the royal seal, and I've set up the recall stone in Bracksworth (and I had the little conversation with Spartan as well).
But when I go to the next map (Highmarch foothills), where I'm supposed to enter a cave in order to access to the underworld, i'm stuck. The cave is indicated on the map, but there's no "blue zone" to walk on to enter inside the cave, and when I try to go back to Bracksworth, it doesn't work either (walking on the "blue zone" does nothing).
So am I definitly stuck ? (my oldest save is post-battle for Bracksworth). Does anyone else ever had that problem ?
I will be there tonight, will post tomorrow(the 24th)
Addon: it worked fine, did you hover the pointer over the cave-mouth and get a door icon?
Use the Stone of Recall? Should take you back to town. I also was unable to walk out of the area to the south of Bracksworth. But the stone worked.
on getting the Artifact, the the 2 orbs do not accept scintilating sphere, chain lightning globes of electricity
sorry, this shoud be under Part III return of the Ironlord
Looks like taking out the facelift haks has left gaping holes in the lowmarch section. Ugh, I'm going to have to rebuild them.
I can't load this module. When I try to play it (either talking with Robert Black in the end of the previous chapter or via main menu>new game> other modules) the game crashes while unpacking the module. Help me pls :(
I have all the requirements installed, including the 1.69 critical rebuild patch.
So, uh, I'm not quite certain if playing the enhanced edition is the culprit, but it seems that only this module in particular keeps leading to a crash, whether it's by loading it after talking to Robert Black or by accessing it via the main menu.
Surprisingly, the ealier versions of the module work (am currently making do with the old 3.06 that's still available on Lilura's blog, although that means enduring the mess known as the Lowmarch) but... that's it. The latest version is a bust on my end. :/
Experiencing the same problem and I can't find out what's causing it. The other modules work fine.
Finally got around to playing this series for the first time, and sadly I'm having this problem too! Very fortunate that 3.06 was available, not being able to continue at all would have been awful, because I'm loving it overall. I'm not playing EE, either, so that can't be it.
Also, separate issue: I was hoping this had been fixed by 3.10 (since I played 3.06), but I've just started the latest version of act 4 part 3 and it has this problem as well so far, so probably not: the romance dialogue with Robert is suddenly not recognizing my character is a guy (also a bit of conversation near the beginning of part 3 with a female NPC where Robert/the game itself seem to assume my character is straight). Act 3 didn't have this problem, which was great, but now it's pretty immersion-breaking (and honestly as a gay person myself, a little depressing, though the fact that this series has same-gender romance as an option at all is pretty great--especially m/m, which seems extra rare). *Edit to add: got a little more into part 3 and it's recognizing my character's gender sometimes again, so I guess it's mostly part 2 and just some places in part 3.
v3.10 isn't working for me, either, but v3.08 is. The file is still available on this page if you copy the download link for the newest version and replace 310 with 308.
I really liked the modules, but was perhaps a bit disapointed (especially in act I), due to all the praise. I have played other modules I liked better (Swordflight, Almraiven, The porphet series, A dance with rogues). I think it takes the series into act three before I really felt invested in the story. But it is definitely a very epic tale, and one of the longest series out there. I rate the series as a whole 8/10, but act 4 is more like 9/10, while act I is 7/10.
I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but I believe it is from the removal or additions of tilesets that happened during the author's last module update. It crashes on both 1.69 and EE toolsets while loading any area.
For the time being, I suggest you play v3.08 as suggested above. I've added it to the file list too.
I've also bugged this with Beamdog, in an attempt to help the author straighten out the loading issues.
FP!
I have bought an item called "epic bardic gloves of swordplay" and one of the things it gives me is a feat called "dm tool 7" Does anyone know what this does?
It is indeed a pity that the sequencer robes don't work.Other than that it's all great!
Hard to score this series, as I really liked it up until this Part II of the Third Chapter, or whatever it is called! A huge jump from the end of the last one, with the cut scene and place holder. I understand that the king puts on the armor and becomes evil. Who wouldn't! ;-) But the whole module becomes extremely difficult to survive, for some reason. I have a maxed out and ultra buffed fighter with all the greatest gear in the game and he gets his a** handed to him regularly, requiring reloads constantly. I am certainly not used to this happening, and I do not enjoy this, which is why I customnize my PC in every game that I can.
Anybody know why all of a sudden the merest Rogue can kill you with little trouble? I will probably quit this part of the module series, after enjoying the henchpersons interface throughout and my romance with the Princess. Although there is mention of her in a wrapup, apparently unrelated to this mod, I would like to think that she is happy and safe somewhere. Not with me I see...Too bad this took a turn for the worse in this latest installment. Thanks for the effort.
Apparently my game is missing some parts, and I ended the Highmarsh Fight incorrectly, although who knows unless they read the guide, right? Apologize for my bellyaching above, much was based upon a screwed up progression and missing large sections of module!
I'm having the same problem that others posted about this module just crashing when it loading it.I tried earlier versions of the module that I could find but the same problem persisted.
Didn't have any of these problems with the newest version (v3.11 from September '18) on NWN Diamond.
UNFRIENDLY to spell casters, ALL parts. Horrible, despicable, messed up 4th act. Can't finish it. Now I am pissed off because I ignored that the game was cheating in all the parts , just to enjoy the story line.
1. Spell casters just can not rest when they need to.
2. Druids like mine can only survive on reasonable AC, 40 AC is not survivable. I barely survived as a Druid/Monk.
3. Druids don't get druid gear or any great gear unless they multiclass to Monk.
4. This game cheats the player of spells like Premonition.
5. This game cheats the player of shapeshifting into Slaad/Dragon/Giant etc because once the player changes to the new form, the game will UNCHANGE the player, sometimes it is 5 seconds after changing or after the player gets healed by her NPC party.
Not to mention we get stripped of our gear that we earned in the game, we have to start over like we are first graders.
So how are we to survive Act 4 part 2 when our more powerful forms are restricted?
I killed the Dracolich 3 times and no phylactory around.
Unplayable.
When you meet Ronan before the final battle in Fairloch he has an unidentified short sword with him and there's no way to identify that if you don't play a high lore char.So he's stuck with his other (+1) sword....Well, i gave him scrolls and his UMD came in handy.
What a wonderful adventure ... the music, the script, the characters, the atmosphere, the dialogues ... all were amazing. It is worth starting with a low-level character and seeing it go up gradually. This was especially my favorite part of this adventure. My ratings concern the whole series. Thanks to the author for this wonderful trip ... You should all try it!
Module Testing Tournement 2020
While I loved Acts I and II, I was disappointed with Act III and I feel the same way about this one. The thing that irks me most is the lack of role-playing; this series since Act III really limits your character into being someone who truly cares about Aielund and fights for it loyally, making it one of the most limited modules I've played when it comes to role-playing.
This module does provide very fun combat encounters though, I like the balance and the fact that this series goes the furthest I've seen with improving henchman AI and capabilities.
Howdy,
I'm having the same problem that someone else described above.

I've tried this with both the 3.08 version and the 3.11 version. With the 3.11 version at least the transition is still there to go back to Bracksworth, but I cannot move forward with the module because there is no transition at the cave. I didn't see a solution to this problem here on this forum, so could someone please help me out here?
Thanks,
Gregor
While the whole saga is great, I liked the other parts a bit better. But that may also be because I struggled at a few oppotunities, because the battles were a little tough.
Still great stuff.
i think this is the sebastian module - so in one comment in the series the get-sebastian-visible-solution is to have at least cep 265 installed what turned out true and i like the idea to change that in the description where 260 is recommended. Not that big deal you just have to skip the elventree option OR you deny helping the druid finding his cat.
